Right on the water, under the Brooks Bridge, Bay Cafe. Impeccable service, freshest of seafood, homemade desserts (French Silk Pie-Oh My!) and mouthwatering nightly specials. The appetizer Crab Cakes and Sea Bass Picatta on this visit were beyond compare. Superior wine choices. Inside or outside on the water. Divine.

When in the Florida panhandle, go to Seagars. Sit at the bar, and just enjoy the dark, calm, cool atmosphere. Expert bartenders, mouthwatering over sized appetizers and perfect service. Yes, that is a mound of truffle fries. No delicate way to eat them, but eat them, you will. Along with the fresh crab, crab cake swimming in jambalaya.
“Eat pie, love life”, they say here. Then you will fall in love with DeWitt, Michigan. Goodness!
This happened in Washington DC. If you are German, this is where you go and this is what you eat. Have no idea what everything was, but can tell you, every single bite was delicious. The German wine was pretty amazing too! (And so was the gentleman playing the piano in the dining room.)

In the heart of Fort Walton Beach, Florida on every single Sunday morning of the year, this amazing temple has fresh food unlike any you have experienced before. Fresh Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Fried Plantains, skewers of pork cooked outside over open flame and so much more. All proceeds go to the upkeep of the temple and it’s resident monks. Visiting the Florida panhandle? A Sunday morning here is an absolute must. Five+ star.
New eateries opening in Austin every day, especially in the fast growing east side. Just north of downtown, YuYo is one to experience. Reservations are a must, Happy Hour is exceptional, the Rose Sangria will cure a crave and the ceviche so fresh. You’ll need more than one serving of fried plantains and do not pass on the Palta Criolla. When in Austin, do Peru.
